OhioVOTES Introduces 2010 U.S. Census Partner: You Can Count on Me Ohio

OhioVOTES will be active in the 2010 US Census with the expressed purpose of encouraging Ohioans to complete and mail back their census forms on April 1, 2010.

OhioVOTES will be asking our statewide nonprofit partners to help with this effort.

This is important to nonprofits and their communities because every person counted impacts Ohio's share of federal funding for the next ten years, guides local decisions in allocation of public services and determines the number of Ohio's Representatives in the U.S. House.

Join with us and the Nonprofit Voter Engagement Network for a June 4th Webinar on the role of nonprofits in the 2010 Census. Register here.

OhioVOTES will be working with the You Can Count on Me Committee in setting up a website where you will have access to materials and information specific to Ohio's nonprofit organizations about Census 2010.

Check back after June 4th.
